Professional Summary:

Mr. Heald's practice deals with the legal representation of general contractors, owners and other construction-related participants involving a broad array of issues including contract preparation, review and negotiation through ultimate dispute resolution including litigation, alternative dispute resolution procedures and appeals. He acts as external counsel to certain clients addressing and providing advice on a wide range of issues particular to the construction industry including contractors, engineers, and owners. Mr. Heald's legal experience involves a litany of construction projects with disputes exceeding $10 million and includes railroads, theme parks, roadways and bridges, airports and nuclear construction projects, among others. He has provided advice and counsel at virtually every stage of the construction process - bid preparation, contract administration, claims assistance, litigation, and more. Mr. Heald has actively participated in trials, alternative dispute proceedings and administrative hearings throughout the country in both the state and federal systems. Mr. Heald's current work includes representation of the general contractor on the $800M I-405 project in Los Angeles, the subcontractor on the Waste Solidification Building at the nuclear facility in Aiken, South Carolina and the general contractor for the runway expansion project at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Mr. Heald is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar.
